Welcome to Mike's Works and Words. We have arbitrarily divided this site into three (sometimes overlapping) topics: Writings, Photography, and Coins and and coin clubs. The site exists now mainly to host the Elgin and Hillside Coin Clubs and as support to our now main site, Pilgrimage Creations. As you follow links around this site, you will find yourself being directed from here to Pilgrimage Creations and back here as you sample various things.

Start our with looking at some of these places hosted on both sites:

• Encounters on the Road to Jerusalem, a book about our two-year walking pilgrimage across America and southern Europe to Jerusalem.
• Walking Life: Meditations on the Pilgrimage of Life, a book of meditations illustrated with pilgrimage photos.
• Germany to Rome in 64 days, writings on our pilgrimage walk to Rome.
• Camino de Santiago, logs and reflections on my pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela across northern Spain.
• Sicily's Historic Coasts, a book about Sicily and its history.
• Ethiopia: Travels of a Youth, a travel narrative telling about Eritrea and northern Ethiopia during the time I was there in the late '60s and early '70s while in the US Army.
• Money Meanderings: An Introduction to Numismatics, a book introducing you to coin collecting.

This web site offers you a little of all of this and more. It is literally my "Works and Words" scattered with a lot of photographs. Use the menu on the left of each page to take you to what you are looking for.

Visit my Where am I page if you are curious where we are these days. We are easing up a bit on our wandering phase and can be found in New Mexico just now. But... we could also be just about anywhere on this tiny sphere we call the earth.
